According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the National Football League has come down hard on the New Orleans Saints for their mask-less celebration. The team is being fined $500,000 and also being stripped of a seventh-round draft pick for not wearing masks during their postgame celebration of a win against the Buccaneers a few weeks ago.
Schefter adds the Saints are appealing the decision and arguing other teams have done the same thing and not been punished for it.
The team posted videos of its locker room celebration following a 38-3 win against Tampa Bay in Week 9.
Ian Rapoport notes the team was also found to have conducted mask-less meetings, which is another protocol violation.
