The New York Jets have a brand new assistant coach, and he is a man who has a bunch of playing experience.
On Monday, it was announced that Hines Ward had been added to the coaching staff on a full-time basis.
Ward worked with the Jets as a coaching intern over the summer, and head coach Adam Gase came away impressed with Ward’s contributions.
The 43-year-old played for the Steelers from 1998 to 2011 and was a four-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl XL MVP.
