The Mac Jones era in New England is over after the team traded him to the Jacksonville Jaguars. After his departure, it left a hole in the QB room for the team that they had to fill.
On Monday, during the legal tampering period around the league, the team announced that they were signing veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports the deal is worth $8 million over one year.

Last year, Brissett was active for 12 games and made three starts for the Washington Commanders. He completed 78.3 percent of his passes for 224 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Aside from Brissett, the Patriots currently have Bailey Zappe and second-year player Nathan Rourke on their quarterback depth chart.
