Bill Belichick has once again seen enough of Mac Jones.
The New England Patriots head coach has benched Jones a number of times already. Yet, still, he continues to go back to the 2021 first-round pick.
Today, he named Jones the starter for their game against the New York Giants in a surprise move. But it didn’t last long, as Bailey Zappe has taken over under center to start the second half.
Jones completed just 12 of 21 pass attempts for 89 yards in the first half, to go along with two interceptions and a fumble. His Patriots were trailing 7-0 heading into the break.
