According to Ian Rapoport, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes‘ MRI confirmed he had a dislocated kneecap but suffered no significant additional damage.
Mahomes will undergo second opinions but is expected to return this season following a brief absence.
Mahomes suffered the injury when he converted a quarterback sneak on 4th-and-1 against the Denver Broncos, but once bodies got removed from on top of him, he would not be able to stand under his own power.
Medical personnel would soon be seen popping his kneecap back in place, which allowed him to stand and walk off the field.
