Fitzpatrick is gone!
On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Dolphins have agreed to trade DB Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Steelers on Monday for a 2020 first-round pick.
Washington, Dallas, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Seattle were other teams trying to land the star defensive player.
During his NFL career Fitzpatrick has started 13 of the 18 games he’s played, and has contributed 92 tackles (59 solo), two interceptions, nine pass deflections, forced and recovered one fumble.
The former first-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2018 had appeared in two games for the Dolphins and recorded 12 tackles, a forced fumble and a recovery.
Fitzpatrick is owed base salaries of $1,227,626 and $1,975,252.
