Earlier today, social media went crazy when it was reported that Marshawn Lynch was traveling to Seattle to meet with coach Pete Carroll, who says there is a “really good chance” that the veteran running back will return to play for the Seahawks.
Hours later, Lynch would be at the facility to take his physical and officially sign with the Seahawks.
Lynch spent parts of six seasons with the Seahawks from 2010 to 2015, however, he would soon take his talents to the Oakland Raiders for the past two seasons before retiring in April.
Despite Lynch’s time away from the NFL, the Seahawks are desperate for help at running back as they prepare for their showdown Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers in a game that will determine the NFC West champion.
The 33-year-old rushed for 376 yards and three touchdowns in six games with the Raiders last season.
