When Tom Brady announced that he was putting off his retirement for at least one more season to rejoin the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 season, it was widely expected that tight end and good buddy of TB12, Rob Gronkowski, would follow suit.
Many actually weren’t even paying too much attention to what was going on on the Rob Gronkowski front because his return to the Bucs seemed like a foregone conclusion.
Well, according to a breaking report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz, it appears as though Gronk has played his final game in the National Football League.
Gronk hasn’t broken the news himself yet, but this news seems awfully legitimate. If so, it would mean the end of one of the greatest careers for a tight end in NFL history.
Rob Gronkowski finishes his career with 621 receptions for 9,286 yards and 92 touchdowns in 11 seasons — nine with the Patriots and his last two with the Bucs.
