It’s finally over.
On Friday, the Louisiana Supreme Court dismissed a Saints fan lawsuit against the National Football League over the infamous “no-call” that ultimately cost the Saints a chance to advance to the Super Bowl.
One judge in Louisiana ruled that the case should be sent to the Supreme Court and that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell would have to give a deposition.
He will no longer have to worry about that now.
This all began late in the 4th quarter of the NFC Title game where an obvious pass interference call was not called, which forced the Saints to kick a field goal, instead of extending that drive and ending the game.
The Rams would drive down the field, tie it up, and eventually win the game in OT.

A lawsuit seeking $75,000 in damages was brought to court soon after. That non-call paved the way for the NFL to make pass interference calls reviewable. The new rule is on a one-year trial basis, however.
