The Los Angeles Rams certainly are in a cutting mood today.
Shortly after the team released Todd Gurley, they announced the release of linebacker Clay Matthews.
The 33-year-old former first-round pick signed a two-year contract worth up to $16.75 million just last year.
Matthews appeared in 13 games in 2019 and racked up 37 tackles, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and three pass defenses.
