Ian Rapoport of NFL Media and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday morning that Lions QB Matthew Stafford is not expected to play against the Bears on Sunday due to fractured bones he has in his back.
This missed game ends his streak of 136 straight starts.
The Lions will now turn to Jeff Driskel as their starter with rookie David Blough serving as his backup.
The 31-year-old Stafford has appeared in eight games and completed 64.3 percent of his passes for 2,499 yards, 19 touchdowns and five interceptions.
