The Las Vegas Raiders have signed a three-time Pro Bowler and veteran mainstay to bolster their new-look offense for 2024.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Las Vegas Raiders have signed former New Orleans Saints star offensive lineman Andrus Peat. The 30-year-old spent each of his first nine seasons with New Orleans but was not re-signed ahead of free agency.
Peat spent most of his career in New Orleans as a guard, but he saw some time last season at offensive tackle. Peat formed one of the league’s best o-lines in New Orleans alongside Erik McCoy, Terron Armstead, Ryan Ramcyzk and Cesar Ruiz.
Las Vegas addressed its o-line depth by selecting Oregon star Jackson Powers-Johnson with the No. 44 pick in last month’s NFL Draft. With a three-time Pro Bowler now joining the fold, the Raiders’ offensive line should be that much better in 2024.
Peat earned three straight Pro Bowl nods from 2018 to 2020. During his run in New Orleans, the team made the playoffs four times (2017 to 2020), and finished with six winning seasons (2017 to 2021 and 2023).

Andrus Peat Joins A Rebuilt Las Vegs Raiders Offense
Peat is just one of several new faces joining the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense in 2024, along with the aforementioned Powers-Johnson.
Las Vegas also released veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (one year after giving him a three-year deal) and replaced him with journeyman Gardner Minshew II, who agreed to a two-year deal following a stellar one-year stint with the Indianapolis Colts. Vegas also used the No. 13 pick on Georgia tight end Brock Bowers, regarded as one of the best TE prospects ever.
On top of that, the team let star running back Josh Jacobs (signed with the Green Bay Packers) leave in free agency. Though they signed ex-Minnesota Viking Alexander Mattison, 24-year-old Zamir White is the projected No. 1 RB in Vegas.
