Blake Bortles didn’t stay on the open market for too long.
On Monday, the former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback was said to be finalizing a deal to be the back-up QB to Jared Goff in Los Angeles.
After Blake Bortles played in the AFC Championship game in 2018 against the New England Patriots, he took a major step back last season that resulted in him being benched for back-up QB Cody Kessler. Jags finally cut ties when they released him just last week.
Before last season, the Jaguars signed Bortles to a three-year contract that included $26.5 million in guarantees, and they reportedly still owe him $6.5 million.
In 13 games last season, he passed for only 13 touchdowns, with 11 interceptions, before he was replaced.
