The Tennessee Titans added another star wide receiver, and to say that it cost them pennies on the dollar would be an understatement.
Last offseason, many thought the Titans got away with robbery when the acquired Julio Jones and a sixth-rounder from the Falcons for second- and fourth-round picks. Well, if that was robbery, what the Titans just did to the Los Angeles Rams could be considered grand theft.
According to reports, the Titans had to give up just a measly sixth-round pick for Woods. The cheap price tag likely has to do with Wood’s contract, which still has a ton of guaranteed money attached to it, along with the completely torn ACL that the wide receiver is coming off of.
Woods may not be the flashiest wide receiver in the NFL, but few can do it all like this guy. Hes coming off a season in which he posted 556 yards and four touchdowns in nine games before going down with the season-ending knee injury.
He’ll now go to Tennessee, where he’ll be called upon to replace the recently-released Julio Jones following a disappointing one-year stint in the Music City.
