Looks like the Oakland Athletics just couldn’t do enough to convince Kyler Murray that he should choose baseball over football.
The 2018 Heisman Trophy winner took to twitter today to announce that he has chosen the gridiron over the diamond. As a result, he will enter the 2019 NFL Draft.
Where exactly he’ll be drafted remains to be seen. While most experts believe he’ll be a first round pick, some even think he could go in the top 5 to a quarterback-needy team.
Heck, even new Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has gone on record stating he’d take Murray first overall if he could. And wouldn’t you know it? The Cardinals just so happen to have the first overall pick in this year’s draft.
The 2019 NFL offseason just got that much more interesting. Stay tuned.
