The Adam Gase era is almost over.
On Saturday, Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that the New York Jets are expected to fire him after the team’s Week 17 game.
Rapoport and Pelissero list Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bienemy, Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale, Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and Rams defensive coordinator Brandon Staley to college coaches such as Iowa State’s Matt Campbell, Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh and Florida’s Dan Mullen as candidates to watch for the Jets.
Gase has a 9-22 record as head coach of the Jets.
