Former New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins found his time with the franchise suddenly over after he made an inappropriate remark to a fan on Twitter, referring to the fan as a “retard” when taking exception to questioning about why the stats Jenkins was using to showcase his effectiveness weren’t contributing to victories.
Jenkins said last week that the usage of the word was “slang” that is “just part of my culture.” Giants didn’t agree and he was cut.
On Monday, he found hismelf a new home and on a Super Bowl contender.
The 31-year-old appeared in 13 games for the Giants and recorded 54 tackles, four interceptions and 14 pass defenses.
