Veteran free agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson has told NFL insider Josina Anderson that he’s signing with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jackson spoke with Raiders officials on a Zoom call Saturday. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo said there were seven teams currently in the mix for Jackson, but it appears as though Mark Davis’ team appealed to him the most.
The Rams announced Tuesday that they released the three-time Pro Bowler after they were unable to find a trade partner.
The Raiders were clearly in need of a wide receiver after releasing former first-round pick Henry Ruggs following his deadly DUI accident.
In 2021, Jackson has appeared in seven games for the Rams, catching eight passes for 221 yards and one touchdown. He’ll join the likes of Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards in what has been a pretty effective group of pass catchers for the Raiders this season.
