Earlier this week, the Houston Texans released wide receiver Demaryius Thomas following his injury that shortened his 2018 season.
This week, the free agent WR is suffering from minor injuries after the car he was driving rolled over in downtown Denver last night according to Denver 7 News.
Denver police responded to the single-vehicle crash at around 12:20 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Auraria Parkway and 12 St.
Two adult males – one of them Thomas – and a woman were found inside the vehicle and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
A preliminary investigation into the crash indicated Thomas was driving on Auraria Parkway near 12th when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll and come to a stop at the grassy median near Speer Blvd., police said in a news release.
Thomas and the other male passenger suffered minor injuries and are expected to be treated and released. The woman in the vehicle sustained possible serious injuries but they appear to be non-life-threatening, police said.
Investigators said neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in the crash.
The investigation is still ongoing.
