A former New England Patriots running back and Super Bowl champion has been arrested.
Dion Lewis, who helped the Patriots win Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, was taken into custody on charges of trespassing at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa.
TMZ Sports reports he was allegedly “unruly and belligerent”. A spokesperson for the Seminole Police Department told TMZ that Lewis was accused of “causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the premises.”
He was later released on a $500 bond.
Lewis played in the NFL from 2011-2020. He was primarily a special teamer for several teams before he signed with the New England Patriots in 2015 and took on a big role. He raked up more than 1,000 yards from scrimmage and 9 total touchdowns with the Patriots in 2017.
