Ryan Shazier isn’t the only former player who announced his retirement today.
On Wednesday, former all-pro cornerback and Super Bowl champion Aqib Talib took to Twitter and announced his retirement.
The long-time veteran says the Patriots reached out and tried to bring him back in a specialized role, but he decided to walk away from the game.
During his 12-year NFL career with the Buccaneers, Patriots, Broncos and Rams, Talib recorded 462 tackles, one sack, five forced fumbles, three recoveries, 35 interceptions, 10 of which were returned for touchdowns, and 124 pass defenses.
