Social media is powerful.
Through two quarters of the Saints-Texans game, fans became increasingly enraged on ESPN’s new Down-And-Distance graphic. The complaints were coming by the thousands.
The complianing worked. ESPN dropped it.
During the 2018 season, fans absolutely hated the trio of Joe Tessitore, Booger McFarland and Jason Witten, which got better when Witten returned back to the Cowboys.
Not only that, ESPN had to scrap the ‘Booger mobile” because it blocked the view of fans who paid money to see the game upclose and not from a small TV they put on the back of the crane.
