According to Adam Schefter, Eagles HC Doug Pederson is naming second-round QB Jalen Hurts his new starting quarterback.
Hurts took over for Wentz in the third quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Packers, and it was pretty much a forgone conclusion he would take over the spot.
Carson Wentz leads the NFL in turnovers (19) and sacks taken (50).
During his four-year college career at Alabama and Oklahoma, Hurts recorded 682 completions on 1,047 pass attempts (65.1 percent) for 9,477 yards, 80 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions to go along with 614 rush attempts for 3,274 yards (5.3 YPC) and 43 touchdowns.
