In a statement through the NFL Player’s Association, Broncos players have collectively announced they will not attend OTAs this year.
NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith and president JC Tretter sent a letter reiterating the union’s recommendation that players should not attend voluntary workouts amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
OTAs are not mandatory but some players have workout bonuses and other contract details that hinge on attendance at OTAs.
UPDATE: Jeremy Fowler would soon report that the Seattle Seahawks would be issuing a similar statement.
More teams are expected to do the same.
