Late into the night, we are getting more information on the status of Buffalo Bills safety, as the team is now reporting that the second-year safety suffered cardiac arrest on the field during Monday Night Footballs.
During the first quarter of the Bills’ highly-anticipated matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, Hamlin was involved in a violent collision with Bengals wideout Tee Higgins. Hamlin got to his feet after the tackle, but immediately collapsed to the ground.
Medics rushed out to administer CPR on Hamlin. He was eventually intubated on the field and rushed to a local hospital.
It is now being reported by the team that Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest and his heartbeat was restored on the field.
Hamlin is currently in critical condition at the UC Medical Center, where he is undergoing further testing and treatment.
