It was a scary Sunday for the Minnesota Vikings as they lost more than just the game against the 49ers.
Running back Dalvin Cook went down with a shoulder injury and had to be carted off the field.
Cook was injured after being brought down by Niners defensive tackle Kevin Givens following a handoff. The running back lost the ball in the process of being tackled and immediately grabbed for his chest with his right arm when he hit the ground.
On Monday, it was reported that he tore his labrum while dislocating his shoulder after a tackle. Rapoport says the Vikings hope Cook will be back in time for a potential playoff push.
Before entering Sunday’s game against the 49ers, Cook racked up 734 yards and four touchdowns. He’s also added 21 receptions for 138 yards.
