Dak Prescott got his money, just not in the way he had hoped.
On Monday, the Dallas Cowboys placed the franchise tag on him, according to David Moore.
The franchise tag will cost the Cowboys $26.824 million fully guaranteed for the 2020 season.
The 26-year-old Prescott, who had reportedly turned down multiple offers, played in all 16 games in 2019 and racked up 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
