Just horrific news in the NFL today.
On Tuesday, tragic news was passed down that strength & conditioning coach Markus Paul of the Dallas Cowboys was taken to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency that threatened his life.
On Wednesday, the tragic news came down that he passed away.
The team suddenly canceled practice and its media availabilities after a staff member reportedly suffered a serious medical issue Tuesday. NFL insider Josina Anderson reported that the strength and conditioning staffer “had to receive serious medical attention.”
“There is concern for this individual’s well-being, per sources,” Anderson added.

Paul played at Syracuse from 1984-1988 and set a school record with 19 interceptions, and would be selected in the fourth round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.
Paul started 15 games, appearing in 71 total. He finished his playing career with seven interceptions, including a career high three in 1991.
Paul has won five Super Bowls as a coach, three with the Patriots and two with the Giants.
