Things just went from bad to worse for the Dallas Cowboys.
Dak Prescott left the team’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early due to injury. And now we have more details on what that injury is and how much time it could cost the Dallas quarterback.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed that Dak needs surgery and will miss a few weeks.
Before exiting, Prescott threw for only 134 yards and one interception in the season opener. That was bad enough for a quarterback rating of 47.2, as the Cowboys fell by a final score of 19-3.
With Prescott now set to miss multiple weeks, it’ll be Cooper Rush taking over under center. That can’t leave Jerry Jones or the Cowboys’ fans feeling very good about their chances, as the fifth-year QB out of Central Michigan came into the season with just 50 career pass attempts under his belt at the NFL level.
