The Dallas Cowboys have their man.
On Sunday, the Cowboys finally came to a decision and fired Jason Garrett as their long-time coach, because they clearly already knew who they were going to hire.
It was announced less than 24 hours later.
The 55-year-old McCarthy was fired by the Green Bay Packers following the team’s 20-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13 last year.
He departed Green Bay after posting a 125-77-2 mark in those 13 seasons. He also went 18-10 in the postseason with the Packers.
