The Kansas City Chiefs shockingly had more money to spend this offseason after they reportedly agreed to a deal with defensive tackle Chris Jones.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network stated the team was nearing a 4-year deal with Jones just before the news dropped.
Without this agreement, the franchise tagged DT would’ve made $16.1 million fully guaranteed for the 2020 season.
In 2019, Jones appeared in 13 games for the Chiefs and recorded 36 tackles, nine sacks, one forced fumble, one recovery and four pass defenses.
