Tyreek Hill may be on his way out of Kansas City.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Chiefs have given the Pro Bowl wide receiver permission to seek a trade. Rapoport says extension talks between the two sides have stalled, resulting in this sudden turn of events.
There’s an offer on the table from Kansas City, but the wide receiver market has moved dramatically with the Raiders giving Davante Adams $28.5 million per year as part of their five-year, $141.25-million deal.
If Tyreek Hill leaves the Chiefs, this would become a dramatic shift in the AFC, as Patrick Mahomes would have one less weapon to work with. Previous reports had the team looking at around $21-million a year in a new deal for Hill.
In 2021, Hill appeared in all 17 games for the Chiefs and caught 111 passes for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns.
