Well, this was quite shocking.
For the past three years, Charles Woodson has been a staple at ESPN as an analyst, but it seems his time with the Worldwide leader has come to an end.
On Thursday, Woodson took to Instagram and thanked the network for giving him the platform to speak freely for these three years as he transitioned from being on the field to being in a studio.
“I wanted to send a quick thank you today to the Worldwide Leader in Sports, ESPN,” Woodson said. “It’s been a wonderful three years, been a blast, I’ve learned a lot, had a lot of fun, gained some great friends.”
“I’ll see you next season somewhere,” Woodson said. “Stay tuned.”
The other main analysts on the “Sunday Countdown” set are ex-Jets coach Rex Ryan, former Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and Hall of Famer Randy Moss.
