Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson has let it be known that he wants to coach the New York Jets.
The Jets fired offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur this Wednesday and will look to make replacements in multiple coaching positions, including WR as, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Miles Austin is looking at a lengthy suspension resulting from a gambling violation.
The development has apparently caught Johnson’s attention, who has reacted with a tweet in which he wrote he wants to work with Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, and Corey Davis.
Johnson never played for the Jets but, since retiring, has become one of their biggest fans on social media. The ex-WR has professed his love for quarterback Zach Wilson and once claimed LaFleur’s job was easy because of Garret Wilson and Moore.
Well, turns out it wasn’t so easy.
In any case, it will be interesting to see who the Jets bring in to replace the offensive coordinator, as well as the wide receivers coach.

Should they get their QB issues sorted out, the Jets could return to the form that saw them start the season 5-2.
As for Johnson’s desires, he’ll just have to wait and see.
