More big news from the NFL on the wide receiver front. But in this case, it’s not regarding a big time trade or trade rumor. Rather, it’s a suspension to one of the game’s best at the position, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
According to reports, Hopkins has been suspended by the NFL for six games for violating the league’s Performance Enhancing Drug Policy.
It is also being reported that Hopkins will not appeal the suspension, meaning it is now final.
Hopkins joined the Cards during the 2020 offseason, following a blockbuster trade with the Houston Texans. In 2021, he played just 10 games, recording career-lows in yards and receptions, with 572 and 42, respectively.
Arizona already lost Christian Kirk to free agency this offseason, meaning they’ll likely start the season with A.J. Green, Rondale Moore and the newly-acquired Marquise Brown as their top three wideouts.
