According to Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals are signing WR DeAndre Hopkins to a two-year, $54.5 million extension.
That’s $27 million a year in new money for Hopkins, who represented himself in negotiations to become the NFL’s highest-paid receiver in terms of yearly average.
The 27-year-old was taken with the No. 27 overall pick back in 2013 and was traded by the Houston Texans this offseason.
In 2019, Hopkins appeared in 15 games for the Texans and caught 104 passes for 1,165 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.
