Well, this was rather unexpected.
On Thursday, it was announced that Cardinals 8-time pro bowler Patrick Peterson would be out for six games to start the 2019 season due to violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
Peterson will miss games against the Lions, Ravens, Panthers, Seahawks, Bengals, and Falcons before rejoining the team.
The 28-year-old appeared in all 16 games in 2018 and racked up 54 tackles, 1 sack, two interceptions, a fumble recovery, and 5 pass defenses.
