In a surprising move on Saturday morning, the announcement came down that the Buffalo Bills were releasing veteran running back LeSean McCoy from the team.
The 31-year-old was set to make base salaries of $6 million and $6.075 million over the next two years of the five-year, $40 million contract he signed with the Bills after he was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles.
In 12 games during the 2018 NFL season, McCoy rushed for 479 yards on 145 carries and added 29 catches for 210 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
