October 29, 2017 is a day that Zach Miller will never forget as it turned his entire career upside down.
The Chicago Bears tight end went down and started clutching his knee in the end zone in New Orleans after a horrific looking injury.
It was a career threatening injury thatfinally took it’s toll after some nine surgeries.
On Tuesday, Miller finally announced his retirement from the league.
“The time has come to move on from playing the game of football,” Miller wrote. “It has been an incredible journey for myself and my entire family and we can’t thank you enough for your continued support. I would love more than anything to step on Soldier Field one last time but I physically cannot give the game and our fans what they deserve.”

The 2009 sixth-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars landed with the Chicago Bears in 2015, amassing 146 career catches for 1,631 yards and 15 touchdowns.
