Well, this is quite the shocker.
On Tuesday, the Baltimore Ravens made the shocking decision to go ahead and release safety Eric Weddle.
Eric Weddle was due a $6.5 million base salary plus $1M in incentives in 2019. Cutting him clears $7.5M in salary cap space, at a time the Ravens are trying to re-sign C.J. Mosley.
Weddle is 34-years-old as he now enters free agency. He recorded 68 tackles, one sack, and no interceptions in 16 games in 2018.
