The Houston Texans have another running back.
The 25-year-old, who was taken in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Cardinals, was just entering the final year of his four-year, $2.992 million contract when he agreed to a three-year, $39 million extension worth up to $45 million.
In 2019, Johnson rushed for 345 yards and caught 36 passes for 370 yards receiving and six total touchdowns.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Texans would be taking on Johnson’s salary in this trade.
