BREAKING: Arizona Cardinals Sign QB Kyler Murray To Massive 5-Year, $230M Extension

The offseason from hell is now finally over for the Cardinals.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals and QB Kyler Murray were working to close the deal on what will be a monster extension.

Soon after, ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced they finally closed on a massive 5-year deal.

Cardinals are giving Kyler Murray a five-year, $230.5 million deal that includes $160 million guaranteed, per source. It gives Murray the second highest paid QB average at $46.1 million per year. https://t.co/tTnUJXGSm3

There was a lot of tension between the two sides earlier this offseason but Murray reported for OTAs and Darlington said it feels like the drama is in the rearview mirror.

In 2021, Murray appeared in 14 games for the Cardinals and completed 69.2 percent of his passes for 3,787 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also rushed for 423 yards and five touchdowns.
