Antonio Brown announced a massive decision on his football future, teasing an official retirement from the NFL.
The wide receiver hasn’t been in the league since infamously quitting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mid-game in 2021 and has been focusing on a rap career and other business ventures. He’s also become arguably the biggest troll on social media.
Brown’s quest to build a presence online has seen him start a new Kick account, where he will supposedly announce his retirement.
It appears the former Pittsburgh Steelers star wants fans to help him decide which team he should retire under.
“Still deciding on which team to retire under,” he wrote in a post on Twitter/X.
AB recently claimed he couldn’t retire as a Steeler because the team gave the No. 84 jersey to Cordarelle Patterson. Still, it’s between the Steelers, Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders, and New England Patriots.

It Might Not Be Up To Antonio Brown
As to whether any of the aforementioned teams would be willing to sign Antonio Brown to a one-day contract so he could officially retire is troublesome in itself. His split with the Steelers was messy, though they might be fine with him coming back to say goodbye.
We don’t imagine the Raiders or Bucs being happy to welcome him back after the way he left. As for the Patriots, he only lasted a few weeks with the AFC East team.
Since he spent the majority of his career in Pittsburgh, retiring in their jersey would be the most fitting. Yet the seven-time Pro Bowler has burned almost every bridge in his professional life, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
