So much for the Saints trading Alvin Kamara.
It looks like the star running back will be in the Big Easy for at least the next five years, as the two sides agreed on a five year extension worth $75-million, including $34.333-million in injury guarantees (according to ProFootballTalk).
Kamara missed a few practices near the end of training camp for what he described as a back issue, but many believed the absence had more to do with his unsuccessful contract negotiations than any sort of injury.
Now that the two sides have things cleared up, they can move on. With one of the most talented rosters in the NFL, the hope is that all of their high-price talent can finally get the Saints over the hump and into a Super Bowl.
