The fallout of the sudden collapse of the AAF continued on Wednesday.
According to Front Office Sports, the Alliance of American Football League officially filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy:
In the days following the shut-down of the upstart league, former AAF employees and displaced AAF players sued the league in two lawsuits. There were heavy rumors that the league could go under in February, but were essentially saved after when Tom Dundon, a Dallas-based billionaire who also owns the Carolina Hurricanes, pledged a $250 million investment in the AAF.
Just eight weeks into the first season and before the league could even make it to the playoffs, it was over.
Welp, it was fun while it lasted;
