The story of Ezekiel Elliott’s incident in Las Vegas earlier this offseason just will not go away.
One trip to Las Vegas almost got the Dallas Cowboys running back suspended after he was recorded in a verbal argument with his girlfriend, which led to him confronting a security guard chest-to-chest, which made the security guard fall backwards through a metal guard rail.
Elliott would be placed in handcuffs briefly and Las Vegas police would later determine he did not apply the type of force necessary to create the fall.
Security guard Kyle Johnson went to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police headquarters on Friday and said he wanted to press battery charges. He told Enzo Marino of Fox 5 Las Vegas that he was troubled by the NFL’s decision not to do anything about the situation.
“To not have anything happen to him, the NFL is basically saying it’s OK to go to Vegas, get obliterated and shove people over fences,” Johnson said.
Elliott apologized for the incident, but Johnson didn’t quite beleive it was sincere enough.
“Just very unsympathetic. Like, ‘I have to do this, I’m being forced to do this. I don’t want to be here right now’ kind of thing,” Johnson said of Elliott’s apology.

Johnson also said he has been threatened on social media by Cowboys fans.
“I’ve had a lot of angry Cowboys fans threaten me over social media and that kind of thing,” said Johnson.
