Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19 and is out for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
The team is currently on a seven game winning streak that is now in jeopardy of being stopped at the hands of the Chiefs.
The Packers also placed third-string QB Kurt Benkert on the COVID-19 list Tuesday.
Last week, Rodgers threw two touchdown passes to Randall Cobb and the Green Bay Packers knocked off the previously unbeaten Arizona Cardinals 24-21 after Kyler Murray’s stunning late interception.
The reigning league MVP has led Green Bay to a 7-1 start in 2021, with 1,894 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and three interceptions.
