Hold off on the retirement talk regarding Aaron Rodgers.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Green Packers QB has indicated to people close to him he plans to play for Green Bay this season.
Rapoport adds there are many factors at play but the expectation is that Rodgers suits up for the Packers this season despite an offseason of speculation to the contrary.
That is a huge shift in the news after sportsbooks were under the impression he would actually retire this week.
So far, Rodgers has shown his unwillingness to play for the team as he has skipped offseason workouts and partied in Hawaii with his fiance. Rodgers’ discontent with the team has been the biggest story in the NFL the past few months.
Green Bay has maintained that they will not trade Rodgers and plan to have him in place as their quarterback for the foreseeable future.
