On Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the 49ers are rewarding head coach Kyle Shanahan with a brand new six-year contract that replaces the three years he had remaining on his current deal.
This new contract will keep Shanahan in San Francisco through the 2025 season and also puts him in the top-5 highest paid coaches in the league.
The 40-year-old has led the team to a record of 23-25 (47.9) to go along with two playoff wins over the course of three seasons.
