Brandon Aiyuk has offered a reaction to an edited photo of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson wearing a San Francisco 49ers jersey.
Speculation is rife over Jackson on the back of the Ravens placing the franchise tag on him this week. The player is now free to negotiate with other teams as the tag is non-exclusive.
Baltimore can match any offer sheet Jackson signs should they desire to do so but, if not, the team presenting must give two first-round picks in return.
The Niners are one of two teams who don’t have their own first-round pick in 2023, with the Miami Dolphins the other. As pointed out by ESPN’s Bill Barnwell, they could acquire the signal-caller without using an offer sheet but the Ravens can ask for more than two first-round picks in that case and would be likely to request a starting QB as well as multiple picks.
Anyhoo, San Francisco radio station KNBR posted a photo of Jackson in a Niners uniform on both Instagram and Twitter on Tuesday night. Aiyuk, a wide receiver on the team, commented with an eyebrow-raised emoji.

We can’t be certain what he means there but it does not appear he would be among those happy to welcome Jackson to the team.
The 49ers are not one of the QB-needy outfits heading into next season, with both Trey Lance and Brock Purdy on their roster. Still, they could be tempted by the prospect of trading for the former MVP. Who knows?
